Asbestos Awareness Training for Workplaces, Trades, and Individuals - Available Nationwide

This classroom based asbestos awareness course provides a comprehensive introduction to the dangers of working with asbestos and helps employers to comply with the law by ensuring that their workers are appropriately trained to work safely in buildings or premises where there is known and managed asbestos. The course has been designed for anyone who may come into contact with asbestos at work or in the home.

Outcomes

Under the Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016, it is mandatory to have a minimum level of Asbestos awareness training to all staff who may come in to contact with or be exposed to asbestos contaminated material (ACM).

Undertaken this course will allow compliance with the law as well as piece of mind for all people who routinely come in contact with ACM in their workplace or home.

Computer Based Training

The computer-based training (CBT) module follows the same syllabus but allows greater flexibility for employees to undertake the Asbestos Awareness course.

Candidates can login whenever they have time, and the course can be finished over several sittings making the CBT more flexible than traditional classroom training.

Bespoke Asbestos Awareness Training

If you are organisation with several staff who all undertake the same role or have very specific requirements a bespoke asbestos awareness course may be beneficial to you. The syllabus can be tuned to individual roles (e.g Electrical worker or civils workers) and individual project (e.g largescale construction project) or it can be tuned to your organisations procedures or policies also. Proving staff with bespoke training shows those staff members that your organisation is doing more than ticking a compliance box and really cares about the training and health outcomes of its staff.

Certified BOHS Proficiency Courses

More Environmental is proud to offer the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) international proficiency modules for the IP402 and IP405 qualifications. These internationally recognised proficiency courses are the highest standard of training and qualification available and are provided in partnership with our UK partners at NATAS who are the United Kingdom’s oldest provider of asbestos training. Our highly qualified and BOHS endorsed More Environmental tutors paired with our first-class NATAS training modules will help you advance your career in asbestos assessment and, surveying (IP402) or the management of asbestos in buildings (I405).

Our courses make sure that each person is ready to effectively remove and identify asbestos. As we offer an online training option for IP402 and IP405 courses, it allows those who choose that option to complete the courses during their own time and at their convenience. The materials that are presented during the courses are formatted in various ways, including slide shows, videos, quizzes and more. Each course is supported by a personal BOHS approved tutor who will guide you and give you continual support throughout the course.

Alternatively, the courses can be run in a traditional classroom setting either as part of an open course or as a closed course with only candidates from your organisation.
